  • Understand the skills and expertise of the company
  • Understand the services that the company provides in design and development of software & service delivery
  • Develop a complete understanding of the customer segment for such products & services
  • Understand the requirements of the customer and map it to the available products/services of the organization or to the expertise and skills within the organization
  • Understand the different segments within the field of IT and match customer requirements with the suite of products within the organization or if need be integrate third party products to evolve the total system
  • Undertake sales/marketing activities for active opportunity funnel
  • Meet with business targets set for the accounting year on a monthly basis and ensure a steady booking of orders throughout the year
  • Strategize effectively to create new customers on a continuous basis
  • Market intelligence activities for the sector identify clients and needs
  • Provide strategic inputs through proposals based on what the market demands
  • Understanding the underlying technology, processes and architecture and updating yourself on the latest trends to be shared with prospects to assist in sales process.

Candidate Profile:

  • An engineer degree/technical diploma/MBA with minimum 8-10 years experience in marketing and sales of IT solutions/services
  • Having sold solutions/services similar to that of the our company’s products and services - Enterprise Mobility Solution [Device Apps + Middleware + Server App] (Handhelds, POS, Mobile Platform), Enterprise Application Development & Maintenance Contracts (in Microsoft stack)
  • Proven/demonstrable sales experience in Manufacturing/Enterprise/BFSI with a strong Direct face to face sales experience, Listening skills, Passion for technology and selling software solutions and services and Technical understanding of IT tools,
  • Technical bent of mind; passion for technology
  • Strong connections with companies and industries with sales potential
  • Should be willing to travel extensively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in a quickly changing, fast-growth environment

Pre-Sales Executive Job Description

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the skills and expertise of the company
  • Understand the services that the company provides in design and development of software & service delivery
  • Develop a complete understanding of the customer segment for such products & services
  • Understand the requirements of the customer and map it to the available products/services of the organization or to the expertise and skills within the organization
  • Research and gather client/prospect background information, new product/solution information (market research)
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Undertake sales/marketing activities for active opportunity funnel
  • Follow standard proposal process, including standard language and templates, draft management, and keeping proposal and presentation schedules

Skills Required:

  • Good Knowledge of software development processes, tools & technologies (web/database/development tools), enterprise IT systems
  • Fair understanding/awareness of Internet Technologies (Web applications. Intranet/Extranet, Cloud, Virtualization), Database tools, Communication technologies (TCPIP/LAN/WAN/Serial/GSM GPRS), enterprise computing tools & technologies like ERP/CRM/SCM etc.
  • Must be able to work under deadline pressure, but still maintain accuracy and detail
  • Advanced writing and editing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with technical & sales team
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet navigation
  • Familiarity and interest in graphic design
